On March 28, the groundbreaking ceremony for SuperPanther’s Overseas Skateboard Chassis System Intelligent Manufacturing Base was grandly held in the Mahuangliang Industrial Zone of Yuyang Industrial Park, Yulin City, Shaanxi Province. The event was attended by Yulin municipal and Yuyang District officials, H.E. Mr. Muhanad Alnaqbi, Consul General of the United Arab Emirates in Shanghai, Academician Mao Ming of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, SuperPanther CEO Liu Chao, industry experts, and partners.
Strategic Expansion to Empower Global Markets
With a total investment of RMB 350 million and spanning 24,000 square meters, the facility is slated for completion by the end of 2025. As a pivotal component of SuperPanther’s “Enabler” global strategy, the base will integrate the company’s self-developed skateboard chassis, ultra-low-temperature heat pump, and electric drive axle systems. It aims to achieve an annual production capacity of 10,000 core modules, delivering localized solutions to markets in Europe and global market.
Technological Innovations Driving Industry Advancement
SuperPanther’s four self-developed core technologies—the Intelligent Energy Flow Management system, distributed and centralized electric drive axle systems, quasi-900V high-voltage platform, and ultra-wide temperature range integrated thermal management—have gained the “World Innovation” titles by IAA 2024. Notably, the high-voltage SiC motor controller achieves peak efficiency of 99.3%, and the ultra-low-temperature heat pump system maintains exceptional performance even at -30°C, ensuring reliable operation in demanding logistics scenarios.
Global Collaborations and Future Outlook
SuperPanther, in partnership with European automaker Steyr, is developing the eTopas 600, now in trial production. Equipped with SuperPanther’s core systems, CATL LFP batteries, and megawatt-level ultra-fast charging technology, the model is set for European market delivery by the end of 2025. Additionally, SuperPanther has established strategic partnerships with European logistics and retail companies to support their transition to green logistics .
CEO Liu Chao emphasized that Yulin’s resources and supportive policies provide fertile ground for a full innovation chain—from R&D and industrial incubation to global deployment. SuperPanther aims to leverage the new manufacturing base to deepen collaborations with global markets and establish new standards as benchmarks in the new energy heavy-duty truck industry.
The establishment of the SuperPanther Overseas Skateboard Chassis System Intelligent Manufacturing Base marks a significant step in the company’s global strategy and underscores Yulin’s transformation into an innovation hub. Upon completion, the base will play an important role in the global green energy revolution and contribute to achieving dual-carbon goals.
