Steyr Hosts Dual Delegations: Logistics Leaders and Sustainability Experts Validate Electric Truck Readiness
Apr 29,2026

In Steyr, we recently had the pleasure of hosting two distinct groups of visitors for a hands-on experience with the SuperPanther eTopas 600 — bridging perspectives from across the logistics and sustainability sectors.

One session, organized with DSLV, brought together leading logistics and fleet operators. Additionally, on the preceding day, we welcomed representatives from RGO (Rådet for Grøn Omstilling), NABU, Transport & Environment, and Sveriges Åkeriföretag.

Both visits featured a deep-dive technical workshop at our Steyr facility — offering system-level insights and detailed vehicle walkarounds — followed by dynamic test drives at the Magna proving ground.
Despite the different backgrounds, one question was shared by all:
Can electric trucks truly meet the demands of real-world operations?
The feedback across both groups showed remarkable alignment:

·Performance: The driving experience was consistently described as smooth, stable, and powerful.

·The transition: Conversations moved rapidly from “if” to “how” — focusing on how such solutions can be seamlessly integrated into daily operations.

What stood out most was a shared recognition: the transformation to electric transport depends on solutions that are not just visionary, but practical, scalable, and ready to perform.

A sincere thank you to all participants for the open dialogue and invaluable insights. We look forward to continuing these conversations — and to seeing many of you again at IAA Hannover this September!
